Love is complicated
It is harder than it looks
Like cooking dinner
Multi-tasking
Trying to get everything
Finished cooking at the same time
Trying not to burn the house down
Hoping everything turns out perfect
A romantic dinner for two by candlelight
A fan in an open kitchen window
Trying to get the last of the smoke out
Mad about mistakes
Then later, laughing about the mistakes
Yeah, love is a lot like that
It is harder than it looks

Made this one up just off the cuff after cooking dinner. She is a great cook & I try my hand at it upon occasion just to give her a break. It really is harder than it looks . . . and yes, I'm talking about love and cooking.

I think there is no figuring it out. I guess as long as you don't burn the house down and don't starve you can make it work, but it is a lot of work, Lol

Thanks Lazy D, I pretty much suck at cooking. It is like I boil a pot of water & turn around & everything in the kitchen is now dirty. Luckily for me my wife is a great cook. (I only smoked up the kitchen for the poem. I've actually never done that for real.)

Try not to burn the house down or at least have fun if you do. I definitely connected with this one even more so since I just burned my hand cooking a few days ago like an *****.

I'll be cooking again tonight, hopefully no smoke or fire. It is challenging though, just like love. I hope your hand is better. Be careful! Cheers!
