Payphone

Have you ever just really wanted to do something since you were a child,
Seeing it in all the movies, TV shows, and media, as a child,
All to have the dream taken away,
As that thing slips away
Just before you get your chance,
Just barely out of your grasp, perchance?

I happened to be born just at the right time,
That by the time I would ever need to use a payphone at any time,
They're almost all gone.
I've looked everywhere online to find a reputable source to help me find an active one,
But all I seem to find are historic photographs and payphone art installments in the downtown of my city,
It really is a pitty,
To have grown up with movie scenes featuring the iconic device,
And now, I'm stuck with an overly convenient, handheld device.
I have never gotten the chance to use them, I used to feel the anticipation building up,
But now, that's a mere memory...and I was really looking forward to that, as I grew up.
