Social distancing

Dont come into my space, make sure you leave some room, at least be at arms length, when you hold a broom

You can shout across the road, leave messages on my phone but please dont come to visit, I'm living on my own.

Yes we all miss the cuddles, miss a friendly hug, but you cant come and see me, dont show your ugly mug

The Virus running rampant, but some people are still with friends, until they stay on lockdown, the virus will not end.

People dying all alone, scared with no reassuring support, but idiots take no notice, they have no second thought.

What has to happen, before the idiots clearly see, must they lose a loved one, or have the country on its knees

Stay safe, stay indoors, it's not that hard to do, everyone responsible and that means even you

The quicker the world stays indoors, the sooner this Virus war is won, people tell your children, your daughters and your sons

Practice social distancing, nod instead of shaking hands, cancel all engagements, dont have no party plans

Just find yourself a comfy spot and watch the world go by, everybody hates it, we could all just sit and cry.

But it's better to not see your family and friends, though it is a lot if strife, but missing them for a few weeks might just save a life.

One day it will be over, you can share the hugs you've saved, better to hug them later, than to put flowers on a grave.
