Far From Perfection

I'm not a savage, or a saviour but the devil always test me
He keeps calling, asking for a favour, doing things to always vex me
I stand in God's glory, chilling and just counting my blessings
From negative to positive, God saved me, and I'm just reflecting

See, I'm drenched in dirt, my actions are imperfect
I'm far from perfection, I'm not even there yet
But I trust God so much, that I ride bikes without helmets
The irony; I will live life for His Glory, as my enemy gets buried in caskets

I'm done with lies and hate, I'm coming to grips with the truth
With love I will grow my faith, my judgement is being astute
I know that change is gradual, I'm taking baby steps with a foot
I'm done with rough paths God, I wanna take the road which is smooth
I find joy in music, I want to make songs for You
This gift of mine, I will use it, even if it cost me a tooth

With words I'm like Bruce Lee, I do wonders with my synonym
So, anoint my head with oil Lord, fill my cup to the brim
I will worship you while I stand, sit, even when I kneel
As I go to sleep, and wake up each day, I pray you watch over me
For the sick, crushed and broken hearts, I pray for them that you heal
And for those who seek repentance in you, I hope you hear their plea

Guide my footsteps, and actions. Bless me like fruits on a tree
Be my ears, my voice, and my eyes to help me see
I trust in your rod and staff, may they forever comfort me
Send forth your angels, and let my demons flee
And may my poems touch hearts, both far and near
As I manifest my purpose; in villages, cities, and across shores of the sea
