That’s a Laugh
By hook or crook
She had promised to finish me off
I took her at her word
As I always had
She liked to dress up
I played along
Her cute shepherdess
Me wily shaggy wolf
Ok it was our game
She played along too
The hook and crook were hers
I buoyantly took to the chase
Tail up!
Nose down
To her trodden word
The odd distant sway
She was eternity
In each of my positions
Ok! In ours
We were lost souls, again
Beautifully not quite there
Where others wanted us
Where they expected us
And we refused to go
I liked her polka-dot skirt
She liked to grab my tail
She had promised to finish me off
I took her at her word
As I always had
She liked to dress up
I played along
Her cute shepherdess
Me wily shaggy wolf
Ok it was our game
She played along too
The hook and crook were hers
I buoyantly took to the chase
Tail up!
Nose down
To her trodden word
The odd distant sway
She was eternity
In each of my positions
Ok! In ours
We were lost souls, again
Beautifully not quite there
Where others wanted us
Where they expected us
And we refused to go
I liked her polka-dot skirt
She liked to grab my tail
