Image for the poem tree guardians

tree guardians

quail the ache with heather
lavender nature's own hue
beautiful curiosity through valleys and peaks
the dawn rises on my happiness and sorrow

when in doubt she smiles
awakening the soul within me
denizens of old my tree guardians
they keep a silent vigilant over my spirit

I welcome the  morning inside me
child of the day my being vibrates peace
and utter enchantment

currents on the winds stir my memories
fonder times of less worry
when in my youth I shelter in the trees
the breeze caressing my face

lost in a story adventure
books my old friends
pressed in their pages my happiness

I can still be found there
