I can only
imagine
what I did
to alienate
Probably my
confusingly erratic
responsiveness
or my tendency
to munch on my toes
A tendency to
say what I think
without planning
for other people’s
emotional safety
The world is
a breeding
ground for triggers
Of course I
don’t want to
be cast off
I am sensitive
and hate to
admit as much
but I won’t hold it
against any of you

Actions are a reflection of the person who acted, not the recipient. Don't make their actions about yourself; it's not your weight to carry.
The only people I have blocked are those who know no self-control in regards to leaving their nastiness as comments on my poetry. Elsewise, they don't bother me enough to block'em.

Also, it’s really important people can stake out their boundaries. I’m glad you do. It must have been a tricky decision to block whomever, but you take care of you!💖🙏😎

Wasn't tricky at all for me; the guy was a jerk and wouldn't recognize his boundary. So I did it for him.
Good for you Ahavati. I have encountered some creeps but haven't had to go so far as blocking them ... yet.

I share your frustration dear poetesss. I have been blocked twice. Once because i would not stop following someone the poet didn't like. The other poet blocked me with no explanation. I am always amused by people who practice conflict avoidance and don't just say what is on their mind. Oh well, his loss I guess. *hugs*

I have only blocked one person here because of the comments they left and because they were making unwelcomed approaches to others so I cut myself out of their territory.

Sometimes the words don't want to come out play. So you do something fun that makes you happy and gets the poetry juices flowing out again. Keep on writing.

Hey EW......been here a few times......in fact I’m still blocked by some here over BS that wasn’t my fault that happened years ago.......I know it might hurt a bit.......don’t step down to their level........be the bigger soul which yours is beautiful.......purple luv & hugs xo :)

It also seems like they could have unexpected but good reasons. Maybe I like to write about triggering topics. Maybe, like the book The Crucible, they heard a false rumor that terrorized them. I never will know. That’s ok.
