Nourishment

Take me in your loving hands—
Shape me, the clays of your intention,
To make me into something more.

Caress my fragile core...
Softening the numbing bark,
Of this petrified stump of heart,
With the softest eyes.

Rekindled, seed of hope
Lain dormant for centuries,
Long-lying in wait to be watered,
Once again, by the bubbling aquifer

—that is You.
