The Demise Of Aphrodite
A swallowing, devouring mound quivers; the pulsating cat thaws.
Fleshly, unshaven shadows overhang a wilderness of bliss -
Peach fur glistens, lemon drips juice from swollen jaws.
I’m a spectating man, going back to my teenage feast,
A sanguine symphony plays while I die in her honey.
Gyrating whimsies tear out the eyes in me – a beast.
What I see in the summer, but not in the winter,
So relieved, but another food still awaits.
They move along with less on, till the “End,” as I splinter.
Sacred sins in sacrilege, a blasphemy to shield,
His crimson horse He mounts, in white robes.
Hark! The last clarion trumpet shrieks: to the field!
Diving swans are caught by hawks, just like cod -
The alliance of both troops; past the river I will go,
Above the water, their heads are picked off. O God!
