The sun still shines.
It creeps and crawls
And eats away at
Whats left of her corpse
All she wanted was to
Die in unison
With the cold branches and
Lifeless leaves
Her
Blood leaves
Her limbs and the
Color in her face
(you once loved)
No longer
Makes its
Way there
And you cry out
Again
Again
Again
But your words are wasted
Her ears are decomposed
They
Belong to the
Ground now
The ground beneath your feet
Yet
You're shocked
(Shocked? Shocked how?)
The sun
Its still
Still shining
That is
Birds and
Cicada songs ring out
Into the raw
Open air
You're
Shocked to see
Life beyond her and
Shocked
To
See
Life goes on
But
It doesn't matter
She is still and
You are not.
