Silent Fingers

Silent fingers of the night
with a brushing of the willows
as we dance at dusk
of memories in shadows
in a seance with my pen

When we were young
now gone the way of spirits
as the candlelights dims
to awaken on new tomorrows
dripping yesterday's sorrows

As the tallow unwinds
while moths dance in fantasy
with a brushing of the willows
as we dance at dusk
blowing out the light
