Cancelled Plans
Yesterday, my son and I have a scheduled flight that was cancelled due to Covid 19 lockdown
We were supposed to be back in the city, after letting him spend a brief vacation in the countryside as it is Summer already
Classes are over and schools are closed
We had plan of going to visit my brothers in Davao City next week to attend my nephew's wedding
We were ready for the trip and my son was excited to see his cousins
Our tickets were booked since February
And I had my dress made for the wedding
It is an occasion I looked forward to and don't want to miss
A rare opportunity to spend with all my brothers I do not get to see often
But all those plans are cancelled now
Tickets were refunded and some were put to travel fund
We are stuck in the countryside for now
With no certain duration as to how long this community quarantine will last and be lifted
The only consolation we have is that our province is still Covid 19 free
And things are still going in a normal pace with the exception of curfew imposed at night time
It's the tenth day of Napowrimo and I'm running out of fuel to keep me in the race
I don't find enough inspiration
I wonder if my writings can be considered poetry
For now I just focus on spilling my thoughts and stick to the rules to stay in Napo
