The Night (Whiskey Moon)
With whiskey on my breath I breathe in the night
As heavy thoughts just drift away into the starry desert sky
Once upon a time she told me she'd always be in my life
But I can't believe in fairy tales in my current frame of mind
The night
keeps holding on
To her smile;
brighter than the rising dawn
But this time
It's time to finally move on
'cause she's gone.
Whiskey Moon
Howling back at me
While her sweet perfume
Haunts me in the summer breeze.
Blue-eyed girl
Dancing on her own two feet
While we hold the world
softly in the space between
Whiskey Moon
Howling back at me
Whiskey Moon
Singing through the swaying trees.
As heavy thoughts just drift away into the starry desert sky
Once upon a time she told me she'd always be in my life
But I can't believe in fairy tales in my current frame of mind
The night
keeps holding on
To her smile;
brighter than the rising dawn
But this time
It's time to finally move on
'cause she's gone.
Whiskey Moon
Howling back at me
While her sweet perfume
Haunts me in the summer breeze.
Blue-eyed girl
Dancing on her own two feet
While we hold the world
softly in the space between
Whiskey Moon
Howling back at me
Whiskey Moon
Singing through the swaying trees.
