Image for the poem edge of reason

edge of reason

damned the night who first saw you
razor jaw clenched tight
masculine edged steel
you stole my breath from the start

comfortable in a seedy bar on the south side
I looked your way and calculated the risks
was he my cup of sin?
I rolled the dice coming up sixes
so I took the chance...

in your element you worked the room easily
a slow blush when you look my way
I made my way over slowly
upon introduction, our hands met pure electricity

a heartbreaker for sure
our eyes lock and I knew
I was going home with you that night

a sadist in the bed you command my body
I was bent to your will immediately
masochistic by nature
there was no power play
my pleasure was yours to release

then the darkness dawn
the midnight hour scream pain
and tortured the morn with her...I broke

reaching my limits
your wicked bent spoke volumes
my agony was your reward
you anticipated this day, planned for it

I curse you spitting blood through gritted teeth
you smile at me cruelly then
saying even the devil has her due
