Love Weighing on The Shoulders

maybe your love has tired
come to rest on smoother ground.

It seems that now I am not your soft landing, but another hook to hang your hat.
I fear us being past.

I feel as troubled waters feel to the brave sailer,
a drift on the wrong waves.

I love you how you need to be loved
and yet I feel that I am not enough.

I want to scream,
to howl at the moon,
burn my heart to ash
but it would still exist because its you.

I seem to be playing your fool,
but I can not fold when every part of me belongs and breathes for you.

Every breeze carries my mind to truth,
I am captive in your eyes even as they wander.

I wonder what you seek,
when you told me once I was always the lingering tune draped along your memories.

I brace myself in place waiting for you to remember how long you've wanted for me.

Is it too much to ask to be as much to you as you are to me?

I do know one thing…

I am not me,
on broken wings.

You are not you,
with missing pieces.

You're heart knows this
I can only hope your eyes listen.
