Peace in Pain

I find peace in pain,
And I know I have gone insane.
I find peace in pain,
Though we may never meet again.

No matter how deep in love I’ll be,
You will always run from me
But If I lie and dream by day,
You will never go away.

You had me at, “You lost me.”
And you’re more than memory
Thank you for the love you once gave.
I’ll take it with me to the grave.

The sorrow I lay in my heart
On the day our paths depart.
If ever you should feel the same,
You know you can call my name.

Please don’t make me shed a tear,
Tell me you always will be here.
But I find peace in the pain:
An Eidolon self-slain.
If you ever make me cry
When we must say goodbye.
