Forget Me Not

A slow drip of a silhouette  
From a window long ago  
Whispers ripples on the water  
Where the Forget Me Nots grow  
 
I’m fixed in  time that won’t unwind  
With slivers of you inside my brain  
Gone kisses under the street lamps  
With the Forget Me Nots and their pain  
 
Let the night birds fly you from sight
Where your shadow cannot show
Too dark for my mind’s  eyes
And where Forget Me Nots can’t grow
