Wisdom Waits
In all the books in all the world
wisdom waits like shining pearls
with a value beyond compare
for those who take the dare
tomes sought for relevance
tempt the world to surely change
even though it’s the same
understanding is then to blame
expansion beyond the bounds
formerly set by frightened ones
those who feared the outcome
of moving past gated bounds
look to books for the way
for a way to at last embrace
doorways to the gods’ true realms
stated clearly in black and white.
