untouched

i

we search volcanic ruins for isolation
along untouched rocky beach

slink between tidal pools
with mystic mermaids and octopi

we scale across serpent night
greasy crystal
tremolite marble
lawsonite
until we find ourselves
lost amongst starfish shrine

holy holy arcane sanctuary

ii

this cocoon called humanity
has unraveled existence
and the untouchable world
we thought we knew
shape shifts into another dimension

with each transformation
and unraveled thread
potent lessons are revealed

rebuke spoils of comfort
possessions are expendable
cherish moments on hallowed ground
beneath blue ringed octopus skies

iii

go in peace heretic
eat celtic dirt and drink sacred seas
cleanse
heal the way between temples

good and evil coexist infinitely
this ancient organism
this merciless equaliser
encrypted mutant code
buried in mass graves at the edge of life

ignorance will unleash her tempest
the might of mother nature

death touch the untouched
with plasma flame and bludgeon force

holy holy acclimate
Author's Note
The video and photos of the seascape, octopus and starfish were shot at Rocky Beach where my family and I have been visiting in isolation. The clip of the storm layered with my octopus friend was sourced from Pixabay.
