The first song i heard with John Prine made me cry at the same time that it comforted me during a hard time. John had that rare gift to touch a heart in that way. i believe he was a kind and wise man, as well as a master lyricist and composer.
You do his memory justice with this beautiful piece

I'm not familiar familiar was his work, only slightly with his name. It was just this morning I heard on the news that he passed away after learning last week that he was battling the Coronavirus. Your tribute does him a great justice; the 1st Stanza is absolutely glorious.

He was an amazing lyricist and musician. Oddly enough, his voice got so much better with age.
Thank you. xo

I don't know who he is either but this is so beautifully written. Such a nostalgic piece of the bygone romanticism of heroes, saving the world, saving us from out little lives.
Something to be said of that era the defined men, women, respect, 'the word' and honor. I wish we had a little bit of it right now.

Thank you, Jennifer! That is a compliment and a half, especially if your father worked with him. I will miss him.

Central verse is both gentle and warning. Adore this, image is perfect.

Re. Angel from Montgomery
the centric stanza is agelessly defining Love, The Labour & Whatever Terraining Traverse in the hardcore Love.. In the Supreme Hope.. that is an uncompromisingly deserving faith & emotion out of all the verbing Love....
you have packed in this.. in all the contextual zeitgeist of the tributing times & persona.. JUzme A, this is a stellar hope of hope.. best in the comp!

This has the melancholic nostalgia of a great country song, and I dig its feeling of lost romance and innocence.
