Ripen Fruit
Inhaling the fragrance of your absence upon my feather pillow
A begotten time of imprinted entanglement
As the trail of your tongue lightly caressed my skin
We laid bare in remembrance of Eden’s paradise
Soft love notes are bodies tenderly played
The sweeten melody of ripen fruit our bodies partook
Heightened pulses interwoven and attuned
My nectar savored in the moistened sap
Losing myself in the feel of your gentle kiss forever staining my lips
Only to be famished for the relish

I like reading from the bottom up and I did that for this poem.
This reminded me of The Garden of Eden and The Forbidden Fruit.
It looks like you replaced forbidden with ripen and that subconsciously made me think of the Garden of Eden.
In this poem I realized that in some way Adam was powerless in his inability to resist Eve's seduction.
Beautiful and inspirational for me.

Wow. I gotta say, I pretty much don't enjoy sensual poems, in general. This, however . . . this is beautiful. It says and leaves out just enough. Enticing, but not vulgar. Very well penned! Listed & followed!
