an arty bookstore and café-restaurant with umbrella coverings
broken twigs, pebbles, stones
bungalows and a village church with a water well in the courtyard
a large leafy country detached in a cul-de-sac with ivy sprouting from walls
a freshly painted door
the scent of lavender

Sounds like the French Provence to me, Lozzamus. I have a special affinity for St. Paul de Vence myself.

Luscious and vivid descriptions of quaint and civilized village living. Reading and then re-reading this piece brought the same response, a relaxed sigh of relief and calm. As though all is right with the world once again. I feel as though I can hear Chopin’s Nocturne No.2 Op.9 playing as I admire the bay window. Gorgeous write and very much needed to soothe the soul today. H🌷

The Nocturne no 2 op 9 is not a great favourite of mine, unfortunately, but I love many of the other Nocturne, I'm currently studying op 27 no 2 8n D-flat and have it memorised now.
