Sitting by the Window
Sunday morning
Get up early as usual
Sit in my chair by the window
Cool April breeze sweeps by
Heat still on so a mixture of temps
I don't watch TV
I usually answer email
Read online
Play scrabble online
Do digital art online
Even when times were better
My routine was the same
Later when my wife gets up
I'll make some coffee and we'll talk
Best part of the day
Get up early as usual
Sit in my chair by the window
Cool April breeze sweeps by
Heat still on so a mixture of temps
I don't watch TV
I usually answer email
Read online
Play scrabble online
Do digital art online
Even when times were better
My routine was the same
Later when my wife gets up
I'll make some coffee and we'll talk
Best part of the day

Life in NYC
Not much changes
Except you can't go out without a hazmat suit .....

i'm finding that routines are saving my life right now. it's like i'm having to convince my brain that this is just a regular, normal, day. a regular, normal world.
not some crazy thing from a movie.

Today I really wanted to go for a walk but didn't.,..
New Yorkers have been good about busting this curve. Wish the government told us sooner.....
We will get through this
Yes, routines are good

Love this, Poppa...appreciating all what’s there, within arms reach can sometimes be overlooked...loved how your wisdom yet again shows...

I'm appreciating the time I have with my daughter so much right now with everything else topsy turvy. Like a reality reset. Slows us down and makes us look at what's around us that means most...I wonder how many will choose not to return to the chaos of Before when this is all over. Coffee and companionship - can't beat it

There is a lot of truth to what you are saying.
Have thought it many times myself !!

Re. Sitting by the Window
...a day in the life...
it's been raining for 3 days straight where I live. I had to go into work yesterday just to retrieve faxes and other things and the campus was empty. It's surreal. But I can only imagine the sense of quiet and calm the street of NY must be at this time. A quick little snippet of a Sunday morning.
