Shout Out to The Stupid One
Images
of my likeness, tripped up
by the colors of madness falling,
scratching their way out, through
that space between a broken sun,
where I lie covered in decaying shit
Dried clots escape from
my eyes, stained my lashes
sealing them shut.
Shut away from the beauty
of a healing fortress that
provides my breath,
You stomp me with your
hardened soul
A life with a faded hue
flakes off onto the sharp
grass where my ankles sink
Pieces of a broken color wheel
no longer of any use kicked aside,
left to tumble down the
lost course with morning
glory tendrils.
Tangled, dragging me out
to the charging sea
Salt air, licks my wounds
from the sandy flats, basalt
jutting from deep below
carries faces that laugh and
spit
Appearing as a replica of me
without a wish
I grieve for the hatchet gone
dull without purpose
shredded shadows spiral
shouting to the stupid
one that is me
of my likeness, tripped up
by the colors of madness falling,
scratching their way out, through
that space between a broken sun,
where I lie covered in decaying shit
Dried clots escape from
my eyes, stained my lashes
sealing them shut.
Shut away from the beauty
of a healing fortress that
provides my breath,
You stomp me with your
hardened soul
A life with a faded hue
flakes off onto the sharp
grass where my ankles sink
Pieces of a broken color wheel
no longer of any use kicked aside,
left to tumble down the
lost course with morning
glory tendrils.
Tangled, dragging me out
to the charging sea
Salt air, licks my wounds
from the sandy flats, basalt
jutting from deep below
carries faces that laugh and
spit
Appearing as a replica of me
without a wish
I grieve for the hatchet gone
dull without purpose
shredded shadows spiral
shouting to the stupid
one that is me
