The Unwanted Guest

A wild withering willowing wind
In shadowed sadness, sorrowfully screamed
For it carried a corruptive contagion
Borne upon the wings, of its every breath

It preyed, mostly upon ancient ones
Worn and fragile, with fragmented dreams
Like broken strings, of an Aeolian Harp
Silent echoes, from hollow shells

This malicious malignant mutant
Has stolen the breath of the vulnerable
As it violates the inner sanctum
Of those with least resistance
