Banner of the Sun

there will be days that never seem to end
as we sit in gloom, they always do
one way the other we make it through
when the strain gets to great
your shoulders seem to not be able to bear the weight
condition yourself for future endeavors
because life has not yet dealt all it has to offer
fear not for the life we lead is only governed by the attitude we display
be grateful with what you have
straighten up your back to push through the day
the current times seem strenuous, tedious
with nothing to do but be governed by fear
remember that with grit coupled with optimism
you can make it through all the gears
shift into overdrive with the horses running high
despite what cynicism you may have residing inside
despite the beast that never lets it's jaws go
never, for one second, think all is woe
this is the challenge of our lifetime
unique in circumstance and substance
but many men have made sacrifices through hardships
just the same
take the pain you feel now, use it as the fuel to persevere  
despite unrelenting selfishness of human nature harbored by overseers  
the political nit picking games the powers plays
we as a people have the chance to display ultimate unification tied with true compassion
nothing else can make us aware, a method to think about our future actions
other than to finally be unified once again under the banner of the sun
