Life Deceived You
I read your incredible ink
each touching my soul
where feelings often are numb
with graceful tears you wrote
sorrow smudged between each line
painful haunting truth life deceived you
can feel happiness come and go
never staying for too long
memories couldn’t bring comfort
souls around you couldn’t see
your fake tormented forced smiles
hiding a dying broken heart
last grain of courage to sub stain flowed
till time emptied an hour glass of grief
with your last breath ~ we’ve felt your last words
(Dedicated to beloved souls that have left our lives ~ but not our hearts)
