At This Moment, Just Be

After the gates of winter have closed
The melting snow uncovers
Color returns to the valley
The grass now more than green
A brown hare leaps acorss an icy cold stream
His front legs reaching,
Body a stretching arch,
Back legs trailing
In the pine forest creatures are stirring
The mint bed is in bloom
As are fields of lavender, pinks and violet
The sun brightly shining this crisp morning
As I breath deep the mountain air
Alone on the crest, I'm eleven thousand feet tall
I can see for miles, I can hear for miles
And I can't imagine being anywhere else
But right here, right now, at this moment in time
Feeling alive, refreshed, fulfilled
But mostly just appreciating
Nature all around me
And how I somehow fit in
And that here I am able
To do nothing more
Than just be
And all the beast
And all the creatures
Are good with that
