It Takes Shape
I cannot calm that wretched voice
it takes comfort and contorts
it into something so dark, I feel
electrified with fear.
Alive? Perhaps, yet until when?
That alone raises the hair on my neck.
Is it lurking?
It is.
it takes comfort and contorts
it into something so dark, I feel
electrified with fear.
Alive? Perhaps, yet until when?
That alone raises the hair on my neck.
Is it lurking?
It is.

Re. It Takes Shape
Hey nikki, this is a very eerie poem but more than that, it is ozing with fear in every line. I love the picture too but that again is spooky as it appears to depict an upward curve. I have heard those two words too much already this week.
But you are a smart cookie & already equiped & alert to the dangers. I would imagine you are getting irate when you see others letting the side down by carrying on as normal & not following the rules to slow that curve. I have had it all week at work too. That crisis, what crisis mentality is extremely worrying. The dumb ones will only realise there is a crisis once it hits home & is too late.
Dumb is of course not a nice word. I started out thinking people maybe need time to adjust, to get used to a new social way of being & that we should use the softly softly approach to help steer them in the right direction. I now say, bollocks to that & send in the SAS/Navy Seals, whatever because time has run out where we can all be free to do as we please. The softly approach will no longer flatten the curve, right nikki? ;-)

Damn yeah i guess there is that upward curve.
Michigan, my state has more cases than California. 10million people here, 40mil in cali. Were on shelter in place order and the streets are busy, busses are running, people like sardines in the hut....shits gonna get bad here.

Are you able to avoid these crowds yourself? It is such an anti-social little bastard, this virus!

Yes i only leave twice a day to give someone their meds...im hiding...my son hasnt left the house in like 10 days.

Smart. Poor you nikki. You are not alone even though both of you are & feel alone. It may well be a double-edged sword for you, this social isolation but at least you have your son with you but I am well aware that that also brings with it its own set of practical & emotional difficulties.
