Deferred Dreams

Into the eye of the storm, lives twist, turn
Contorted to robotic conformity
Drenched in strife we combat the uncertainty of yesterdayís anxieties
Permitting the existence of time to be shackled

Marched to our deaths by the reaping of our infested and divested lands
Mentally blinded by manmade deceits †
Truth loosen in hushed mouths we speak, deaf ears we come to hear
Regulated minds we serve †

One third of the darken manís principleís purloined
Yet, only one fourth of the blessed masses †
Will ever hear the calling of Gabrielís horn
Are we marked by our own radical beast of burdens

Chips implanted under the judgment of the superior †
Social media caressing or intellect one keystroke at a time
Diseases, plagues, marking the time of our mortal revelations
Go on preach my brother, to the empty flocks

The benediction of offerings you take, less words of belief we receive
Shoot me down for standing on the logic of truth
I bow my head in remembrance of inequality †
Uplift my head to the mountaintops
Only to taste the reality of a dream deferred
