Birthday poem

Sweet talk often leaves us bitter,
Lip service with five star ratings.
Big talks of grandeur leaving small impressions.
Songs of bliss that end up as a tool to deceive.
What happened to "do what you say?"

I heard a faint echo from the distance
I moved closer and it became a melody
A beat, a rhyme, a roar.
I can't really describe it.
You said nothing but it was loud and clear.
It drew us all to you.
Your kindness,
Your sacrifice,
Your dedication to the people.
They screamed louder than the finest speech.

Actions speak louder than words and
Kindness is a decision.
Words can travel for miles,
But actions endure for a lifetime.
