Silent Screaming

If you listen
very carefully
you can hear
nature scream
as we slowly
snap her bones
as we would
the branches
on a tree
as we burrow
like mindless parasites
deep
under her skin
Defacateing
in her rivers
where her life's blood
begins
sucking out
her marrow
like cannibals
with worms
leaving nothing
for our children
