Pink & Blue

pious fathers made the rule
that pink is pink    
and blue is blue  
and purple boys and girls    
won't do  
   
so no one asks about one's hue    
like those of old they just assume    
that genitals will pick the shoes  
and choose the do  
   
and who to woo  
   
but the soul knows not of this taboo  
and guides the heart to take it's cue  
and then the mind to choose what's true  
which is why the things you do  
only make me proud of you  

for the bravest men are made of steel
like those whose hearts are at the wheel
and especially men who walk in heels
so live by faith in what you feel
and know you're home, and love is real
