“....I misread
your meanin' when I met you
You closed the door and
left me blinded by the light “
left to feel
the traces in the darkness
of what I thought you....
of what I hoped you'd.......
be
inside the brilliant light
of your effervescent fire
a kindred desire fleeting
never to be
seeming to me and
I apologize......wishing that you could have fulfilled the light
…..that the
afterglow of your cinnamon prose
was less than true
a beautiful spectre
that I once knew
merely a sensual fantasy,
physical and mental therapy for.....
.....you
and yours
never to be mine
freeze framed beauty
and rhyme frozen in
time but never truly you
…..and I misread your meaning from the start
