Times written in the sand
Not to be forever but memorable
Dancing with you in the kitchen
Underwear, music, coffee and bacon.

So young and sweet
The times when I’d let
You sweep me off my feet
Midnight rides with
The full moon in the sky

Laughing until our stomachs hurt
That’s what made it all work
Silly moments a mark in time

But forever, you just aren’t mine.
We learn and we grow
That’s the way things go.
 
Moments like chapters
Each play a part
To finish the book
Is a work of art.
