Room With A View

Worlds come alive at my window
melding of nature and man
beauty laid out
in the palm of a hand

the songbird soliloquy
unfettered and free
playing so elegantly
just so I can see

the air breathless
as honeycomb sway in the tree

I mesmerized by the view
clouds sifting through the breeze
thirty tall sails, open out in the sea

the blues, the greens
washing towards me

romantic red blush sky
spelling out my name
in new lit stars
as night is calling me back home

where darkness never comes
or goes away

there's a knock upon my window
the sun sneaks out through the cracks
and in through the crimson kisses

I am of one but of two
sitting near the inner garden
under the tree of life
the shoots, sprouts, the shouts

I admire the view

there is lightning and roars of thunder
but the rains never come
we bask in the sunshine
erupting within us
for at least another day
