Interesting, very interesting poem. I like the play with words and the ultimate question of being excluded either side of that wall. It can be lonely on either side. I can’t help wondering if those of us keeping folks out think we are protecting ourselves from hurt? Hmmm. And so the thinking continues.

Yes the wall is painful for both parties. What we think protects, often harms.
