Her Comfort
His sanity quivers
And pulse rate quickens
Blood pressure goes astronomical
A panic attack looms
The strident feeling of doom
Deep breathing?
He just tends to pant
Visualization?
Nightmare images spring to mind
Leaving other thoughts behind
But his seraph is there to comfort him
Lure him off the fragile limb
His fear of death begins to fade
And drift into the evening shade.
And pulse rate quickens
Blood pressure goes astronomical
A panic attack looms
The strident feeling of doom
Deep breathing?
He just tends to pant
Visualization?
Nightmare images spring to mind
Leaving other thoughts behind
But his seraph is there to comfort him
Lure him off the fragile limb
His fear of death begins to fade
And drift into the evening shade.

This felt like a protective spirit, whether that was the intent I don't know, but the darkness looms-Crawls the spine with an ease.

Re: Re. Her Comfort
I meant an angel or protective spirit. It was originally vague, and I changed it accordingly. Thank you souladareatease!

That they do. Thank you SweetOblivion! I can only hear the whisper, feel the gentle touch of an angel. At least so far.

Lovely Sir Crow - I can relate to these lines - got my skin chilled - the ending lines brought a warmth to me - made me think of certain comforts I look for on those icky nights...some nights they’re there to be found and others, not so much...
