Dear Medusa
Dear Medusa
When Poseidon took you at the temple
I know that you resisted
Did you blame yourself?
He is a god after all, how could you have escaped?
Dear Medusa
When Athena punished you instead of him
I know that it must have hurt
Did you find a power in it at some point?
After all, no man could touch you then
Dear Medusa
When Perseus came to your island
I know you felt abandoned
Did you simply give up and let him assist your suicide?
After all, you must have been lonely
Dear Medusa
When your twins came out of your dead body
I know it was a surprise
Did you look down from the heavens and cry?
They were yours, after all
Dear Medusa
It wasn't your fault
You deserved better
I am confused with Athena
I hope you got your revenge in death
When Poseidon took you at the temple
I know that you resisted
Did you blame yourself?
He is a god after all, how could you have escaped?
Dear Medusa
When Athena punished you instead of him
I know that it must have hurt
Did you find a power in it at some point?
After all, no man could touch you then
Dear Medusa
When Perseus came to your island
I know you felt abandoned
Did you simply give up and let him assist your suicide?
After all, you must have been lonely
Dear Medusa
When your twins came out of your dead body
I know it was a surprise
Did you look down from the heavens and cry?
They were yours, after all
Dear Medusa
It wasn't your fault
You deserved better
I am confused with Athena
I hope you got your revenge in death
