Sometimes the truth isn't what we thought it was, though it doesn't make it any less the truth in the moment one thought it was. Gratitude as expressed in this is the perfect antidote for bitterness. It's a gentle letting go in appreciation vs a harsh holding on to what one wants. Beautifully succinct.

LOL Well, I was thinking in terms of all the many splendored things to come that I have yet to be grateful for. But I suppose there's no time like the present to be grateful for that as well. xo
