are you?
are you
are you all of those beautiful things?
the trees twinkling and the
sky cracked boulders
resting in the earth
i remember the lack of a conversation
the guilt digging in my shoulders
putting out the fire of a cigarette
the one sided nature of the depth
of me
i couldnt touch your head in the sky
world cradled into you
somehow i was
the mess and you
were the cleaner of the cut
are you
those strong tree limbs
begging for a rain
or the strong wind to
feel alive
there was something so fluid with you
yet so lacking in truth
it was easy to lie
and it was easy to ease out
and ease back
with you
and there was nothing i could do
but run back inside
and rush right back out
are you all of those beautiful things?
the trees twinkling and the
sky cracked boulders
resting in the earth
i remember the lack of a conversation
the guilt digging in my shoulders
putting out the fire of a cigarette
the one sided nature of the depth
of me
i couldnt touch your head in the sky
world cradled into you
somehow i was
the mess and you
were the cleaner of the cut
are you
those strong tree limbs
begging for a rain
or the strong wind to
feel alive
there was something so fluid with you
yet so lacking in truth
it was easy to lie
and it was easy to ease out
and ease back
with you
and there was nothing i could do
but run back inside
and rush right back out
