Haunted by Ghosts
Power of the night its calling.
Lightning flashing, rain falling.
Deep beneath the ground I can hear.
The call of many souls we all shed a tear.
Put on brave faces unable to show fear.
I know where you are, I call your name.
Some brothers and sister, the same.
Some are ones I caused, I'm to blame.
Head held high, hiding my eternal shame
Some trying to pull me to the light.
Some to drag down to my blight.
Scars on my body, some hidden in sight.
Demons dance around purging the night
No matter what you see.
You will not know me.
Vengeance is a burden.
We all must answer its all that is certain.
Til the days our eyes close the curtain.
I feel you calling from the grave.
The lady I loved, she prays my soul save.
To my past I seem to be a slave.
Demons in the dark, my flesh they crave.
I look at the Ozarks in the light.
Another day gone renewed call of night.
Clinging to hope with all my might.
Now a fight again for sanity.
A never ending battle to be.
Lightning flashing, rain falling.
Deep beneath the ground I can hear.
The call of many souls we all shed a tear.
Put on brave faces unable to show fear.
I know where you are, I call your name.
Some brothers and sister, the same.
