some verse for valentine's
(I)
Just like that
tomorrow sings
and her song's sure
to change things
(Ii)
if I drown in your eyes
would you gift me your breath
kiss me alive, lift me from death
(Iii)
we're on our way somewhere
and I hope we never get there
cos getting there is where it's at
and I'd never want to lose that

to change things

if I drown in your eyes

Y’know I’ve always wondered why we have mistletoe at Christmas. You’d think people would need it more on Valentine’s Day... heh.
Have a good day. Hope you finally conquer that gypsy mountain. 🤣

Awwwww....Eamonn Mo Chara....these are surprising lil' specialities---to be sure! They brought many SMILES--indeed!!!
So often,we lose sight of the fact, that as with Life, Love--too--is about the journey! ( verse iii)
And even tho my visit to your realm is a day late, your creations remind me, that for those that receive/(extend) this precious gift, every Day should be celebrated as valentine's Day......every moment...every adventure cherished!
Thanks for posting a read that has warmed my heart!

Hullo, good sir
must apologise for my tardiness
this is one of those poems which when I read over them I think they're not good enough, not worthy
so I find myself wanting to delete it. happy you enjoyed it and thanks much for coming and leaving your thoughts
much appreciated

Hullo and welcome back
I'm not sure I can believe you smiled what with the mask on n all. I suppose if your eyes were smiling too that'd be proof enough
much thanks to you for dropping in and leaving your thoughts

Are my eyes not smiling? :) I was feeling to exposed without the mask so I switched back to that picture to give me the feeling of a little anonymity. ;)

I think I should return the kind compliments that you gave my poem entitled, "Should We Tolerate People Who Do Wrong Things?." You obviously support Valentine's Day. Do you know the origin or root of Valentine's Day? You support what you do not know. Now this is a good example of objecting to a poem without insulting the writer. Feedback does not equal insult.

Hullo
Thank you for your words
Valentine's heart is in a church in Dublin, I know the origins of the holiday and to be quite honest have never really taken part since a young fellow in school
I agree with your stance on it. I will say though the woman within the words was worth the 'momentary' U-turn :),
I dunno if there is a difference between insulting people in the poem or insulting people in the comments. I suppose on reflection they are both wrong
so with that in mind, I apologize for my words which insulted you.
I appreciate the time you took to read and comment
*Hat tip*
