The Canvas of my Life

The canvas of life lies bare,
In that split second I stare,
Hoping upon hope,
That something is there.

No matter how I stare,
Canvas! my life lies bare,
Threads began to frae,
Lifeless as they lay.

Madness and anger reigns,
Exploding rage in my veins
Lights flashing before my eyes,
There are no tears for me to cry.

Body aches from head to toe,
Numbing fears about to sow,
This body full of woes,
Lies still, mind seeking, low.

Really! is this all there is?
A life! Then just a fizz!
Then gone, no more to see,
Just a blink! Was that just me?
