In the end
There's beauty in the death of a life that's fully lived

In the end
I'll walk through hell with a smile.
For I lived my life,
Took my chances
And never waved the white flag.
When deep in the fire
I'll look the devil right into the eye
For even when my life flashed before my eyes
I was never afraid to die.
In the short time I was spared.
I loved, I was loved in turn.
I gave, I was given in turn.
Took what I could
And sold what I couldn't.
Cherished the little I had
Turned out to be enough for me.
I carry no regrets,
Only happy memories.
I paid my dues
I've done my sentence.
I've also made mistakes
I had my fair amount of sand kicked into my face
But never did let any of that weigh me down.
I got up every chance,
And just went on and on.
I jumped of a Clif
And landed on my knees,
I admit I did bleed.
But I knew life was just a valley.
So I took my chance and flied..
In the end I was never afraid to die
