solstice written with Pho3nix19xx

June 19th, two minutes to midnight
Darkness falls amongst clouds inside my mind
[Can I sustain long enough for the light to shine through the darkness or will it consume me?]
Tomorrow's beginning, I know will exorcise these thoughts by the summer solstice light.
[Hoping the spring rain washes away the despair,
The light of summer makes the knife disappear.]
By the clock perched beside thy bed,
I feel the totality of the zero hour toll
Through the fog of last night, a shimmer of fight shines
As invisible birds chirp their love song,
Are the demons really gone,
At the first light of dawn?
