You broke the pipe

You smoked meth
While you worked on the car
Pipe neatly hidden, breaks fixed
I was too drunk to notice
When I came down the stairs
You looked like
A war crazed samurai
Toshiro Mifune, I think I remember
Some other lifetime
But anyways, your stiff hands took the wheel
Threatening to crash into a pole
I thought we might die
I didn't care though
I know I should care
But as long as you are close
Take us both down
I cant change you
I still love you
You might leave one night
And never return
I still love you
If I tell you to come home
Would it matter
You tell me heart
Is all that matters
Then why do you do it
Then say you wont do it again
So severe, so insane
Yet you make me laugh
I take a swig of hard liquor
So you dont seem like death
Anymore
One night you came home
And broke the pipe
We held each other for a long time
Tears falling for a long time
Still I wonder if love is enough
Because you left again
And though you promised to come back
Maybe I should have made you stay home
