It can be interpreted not only as erotic but as love. We all want someone to hold us when we are scared. We all want someone to do something for us when we are down. We have a constant need for affection and sometimes it can be hard to find. Sometimes things go well and other times they do not. Only by touch and feeling can we feel safe but sometimes that safety can become a crutch. Love is a difficult thing to explain because it manifests in so many different ways. We all want to be loved. Romance is more passionate physically but the passion in love itself will never change.
