Don't forget how quickly
it can all disappear,
your precious possessions,
your steady,
[un]stable stream of
income,
your loved ones
even you yourself..
Can't pretend it isn't possible
for it all to perish at any point..
especially financially,
most are a couple checks away
from screaming "mayday mayday!!
I need a place to stay!
I got no money saved!
the fuck am I supposed to do!?"

But you gotta keep pushing and living
even when this truth
 presents itself,
or happens to you personally,
even when you feel
helpless and so hopeless
failing to stay focused..
it's just change though really,
change for the better
change for the worse,
a fucking blessing
or a fucking curse
the choice is yours
to just breathe or let those
deceptive dark thoughts
drag you down,
don't assume anything
don't expect everything
whatever happens
happens
you only control your reaction
to any circumstance
don't make demands
just take a stand
for yourself
and take a chance
for yourself
to advance.
