Coffee, breakfast and other irrelevant things...

It’s Thursday morning, and I’m alone with my thoughts in a quaint little cafe down the road from my workplace.    
     
Rumination, drives me to the brink of insanity, sometimes. I feel wound up, and somewhat strung out by a smidgen of stress.    
     
Just wondering, how things will unfold over the next 4 - 6 weeks as I go through the interview process, one too many times.      
     
I’ve had 2 job interviews thus far, this week. Sighs. It’s time consuming, but hopefully worth the time & energy spent.      
     
How hard is it to secure a job in a small town of approx 28, 000 compared to a large city of 5 million plus !?      
     
I’m bewildered and torn at the possibility of making changes that could be detrimental to my wellbeing.

I mean, the town is way too small for me, and the past.      
     
Haters, never stop hating and it’s even more so once you’ve risen above the adversity, and those who refuse to grow, holistically in their lives.    
   
However, my youngest child would benefit from the chance to reconnect with her family, though it sickens me the way her father speaks to her about me, and “wanting to make things work” as if it’s only been yesterday that we split, 14 years later.  
 
Foolish and unacceptable, is understatement, especially as that shipped sailed each time I started seeing another man, and there’s been a few since then.  
 
All, who never mistreated like he did.  
     
I’ve been on my own for well over half my life, and I divorced much of my family some decades ago.  
 
I’m content in not having to be used & abused from their kind of blatant shitfuckery.      
     
To her, it would mean the world but I’m torn... and the coffee tastes good this morning, along with my avo and poached eggs on rye bread.      
     
Mmm. The breakfast of champions... and I really must get back to my building for my 10am meeting.
